Zergling

Zergling

The Zergling is the basic zerg infantry unit.

Overview

Zerglings are one of the most common zerg units in StarCrafts and are seen in almost every episode featuring zerg. Much like in StarCraft, they usually attack in large numbers. Their fragility is extremely exaggerated, as zerglings are often killed in one hit, especially by hellbats or other anti-infantry units.

Appearance

Puppy dog eyes

Unlike the horrific appearance of zerglings in StarCraft, StarCrafts' zerglings are cartoonishly cute. They are team-colored with small metabolic boost wings and teeth. They almost always appear to be smiling.

Zergling laser

Contrary to the bloodthirsty nature of zerglings in StarCraft, StarCrafts zerglings have personalities similar to that of playful puppies. However, they are still capable of attacking and killing enemies, as shown in The Bane. Zerglings attack enemies by pawing at them, jumping on them, licking them, or occassionally biting them.

Unlike StarCraft zerg, zerglings do not appear to have a hive mind, as evidenced by Nucleared, when one zergling stayed to play with the nuclear launch targeting laser while all the other zerg fled.

Known Zerglings

Patchling

Patchling

Patchling

Patchling is a recurring zergling who debuted in Zerg BM. It chased Sgt. Patches into a bunker and ripped off the rear end of his suit. As such, Patchling can be seen repeatedly coughing out scraps of blue fabric throughout several episodes.

Pikaling

Appeared only in "Halloween Special 2012", Pikaling is shown to be a zergling with Pikachu costume.

Game Unit

Zerglings can sleep and lick their back, and can do spinning dance when they are idle or the player types "dance" command. When they attack, they can either bite or lick any target.
