Thunder and Lightning is the thirteenth episode of the second season of StarCrafts. It is the thirty-eighth episode overall.
Plot[]
The episode begins with a thor tearing the roof off the factory. Accompanied by four SCVs, he advances. After a brief inspirational speech, he advances to fight the zerg. A hellbat arrives to help him, but ironically, the thor yells at him to leave, as he is trying to sneak up on them.
A queen is seen cleaning up around a hatchery, but is surprised by the thor's sudden appearance. The thor then crushes her with its arm. Mutalisks arrive to deal with the thor, but the thor defeats them easily with its javelin missiles. Burrowed roaches attack the thor, who tries to attack them in a whack-a-mole-like manner. The thor yells at an idle SCV to repair him. Banelings attack the thor, killing all the SCVs. Angered, the thor attacks the zerg forces, defeating them all with ease. The thor is then picked up by a medivac dropship and escapes. Unfortunately for him, a viper uses its abduct ability to pull him off the medivac, and shortly afterwards is swarmed and presumably killed by the zerg.
Epilogue[]
An SCV is shown to have survived the baneling attack but is controlled by Derpfestor's neural parasite.

Trivia[]
- The thor's javelin missiles have crossed out mutalisks on them.
- This is the second evidence of Derpfestor since "Nucleared", when he captures an SCV to be used for the prelude episode of third season.
- Also, the survived SCV will be characterized as "Slave SCV".
- Mineral Overlord can be seen at the background before the thor grabs on the medivac dropship.
- This is the final appearance of purple viper since "Fog of War," until it is replaced by Laughing Viper in "Team Work."

- The thor's inspirational speech is a reference to Conan the Barbarian.
